Profile: JUNIEL. Born on Sep. 3, 1993. 18years old. Singer-songwriter from Korea.

On Nov. 2, 2011, major debuted with single album “Forever”. On Feb. 15, 2012, 2nd single album “Sakura ~todokanu omoi~” released.

Titled “Tsuki Ichi MUSIK ~Todoku Omoi (reachable feeling)~”, this program is 55-minute sound letter(*), on which JUNIEL writes words and music that she wants to bring to listeners. Please read it to the end. Then, the first episode featured JUNIEL’s self-introduction.
 (* translator’s note: “55-minute sound letter” means that Juniel writes a letter and reads it in the program, although it’s radio.)

Firstly, JUNIEL gave self-introduction as a letter so that she can tell everyone about herself. The title is “I’m JUNIEL. Nice to meet you.” The name JUNIEL is from her real name JUNI(*) and added “L” that stands for LOVE. The reason why she added LOVE is that she values(cherishes) emotions. She added “LOVE” as putting emotions and love into music and wishing people to be happy.
(* translator’s note: JUNI is pronounced like just the same as JunHee in Japanese. Also, I guess JUNIEL would add L to JUNIE, her old stage name, not JUNI..lol  JFYI, JUNIER is read as Ju-ni-R, while JUNIEL is read as Ju-ni-L/el)

Her family consists of four members, JUNIEL, father, mother and little brother. Her father seems to have wanted to be a singer who plays instruments as a boy. JUNIEL, who grew up with being fully loved by her family, how was her path up to now…?

As an elementary school student, she started learning dance since she wanted to be like BoA! Unfortunately, however, her talent in dance didn’t bloom. In the third year in junior high, she started guitar. She started litening to Shiina Ringo and Avril Lavigne and focused on composition. As there were few Korean artists who sing and play instrument by themselves, the company of which she passed audition asked her “How about learning about music in Japan?”. Then she flied to Japan.

プロフィール：JUNIEL(ジュニエル)。1993年9月3日生まれ、 韓国出身18歳シンガーソングライター。
2011年11月2日シングル「Forever」でメジャーデビュー。 2012年2月15日に2ndシングル「さくら～とどかぬ想い～」発表。

タイトルは「ツキイチMUSIK～届く想い～」 この番組は、JUNIELがリスナー皆さんに届けたい言葉と音楽を紡ぐ 55分のサウンドレター。是非、最後まで読んで下さい。 さて、第1回目の放送では、JUNIELの自己紹介を中心にお届けしました。

まずは、JUNELが皆さんに自分を伝えるため、 自己紹介を手紙にしてみました。タイトルは「はじめまして、JUNIELです。」 JUNIELという名前は本名のJUNIにLOVEの「L」を付けてJUNIEL。 なぜLOVEをつけたかと言うと、JUNIELは感情を大切にしているとのこと。 感情と愛を楽曲に詰め込んで、人々に幸せになって欲しいという想いを込めて、 「LOVE」をつけました。

家族構成は、お父さん、お母さん、弟の４人。 お父さんは少年時代、弾き語りのシンガーになりたかったようです。 そんな家族の愛に包まれて育ったJUNIELが今に至るまで･･･。

小学生の頃、Boaみたいになりなくて、ダンスを習い始める！ しかし、残念ながらダンスの才能は開花することなく、 中学３年でギターを始め、椎名林檎さんやAvril Lavigneを聴き始め、 作曲活動に専念します。韓国には弾き語りのアーティストが少なく、 オーディションで受かった事務所から「日本で音楽の勉強をしない？」と言われ、日本に飛んできました。

そんな、JUNIELが毎月お届けする、ツキイチMUSIK。 これから宜しくお願いいたします。スタジオでの生LIVEも披露していきますのでお楽しみに！
